An introductory note. The following text, "Some Elephants Missing", was written in 2010 and was intended for distribution as a 20 page pamphlet.  It is rearranged here to facilitate scrolling.  As described in the subtitle it has three sections; the first section is developed as the short essay, "Three Elephants" (Writing 9).which immediately precedes this piece.  Neither this text nor the preceding text proposes an alternative story of 9/11, both are about only the contradictions and consequences of the official explanation.  JL
